Ameritus® Safety Oral Extension Sets

The Ameritus Safety Oral Extension Sets have orange color coding and striped tubing to provide quick and easy visual identification of enteral feeding lines and connections. The Enteral Only Extension Sets comes in several configurations and lengths. The safety aspects of the extension are the male and female connectors are designed to prevent misconnections to standard IV lines and stopcocks.

With the Ameritus Enteral Only Extension Sets comes in a standard straight extension set and a bifurcated model. Regarding safety and clinical preference, the bifurcated enteral feeding extension has the medport built into the distal connector and not spliced into the tubing. This eliminates the dead space found in other bifurcated lines. Having the bifurcation port and line directly placed into the hub allows more fluids and medication delivered to the patient versus remaining in the line.

The Ameritus Enteral Only Extension Sets including the straight and bifurcated models come in 36 and 60 inches. The Ameritus Only Extension Sets are individually packaged, DEHP/Latex/BPA free and sterile.
